Does a candidate need to speak English to be nominated?
No. While we request that all materials be submitted in English, if this presents an undue burden, contact us at internationalaward@theatrewomen.org. We will work with you to resolve any difficulties.

My candidate is a novelist, poet, painter, producer, administrator, light designer, etc.  Does that exclude her from consideration?
Not at all. As long as she has a demonstrated commitment to working in theatre, and her body of theatrical work has made an impact, we want to know about her.

I am not an LPTW member but would like to nominate a candidate for the Award.  May I?
Yes.

How can I support the Gilder/Coigney International Theatre Award?

Make a donation:

Provide services for award events – printing, catering, housing for awardee and nominees, event venues, etc.

Volunteer at one of the numerous award events in October 2017.

Is travel by nominees other than the Award winner sponsored by the League?

No. We are only able to fund the Award winner’s travel to and accommodation in NYC.  However, nominees who have the ability and resources to attend the award events will be issued a formal letter of invitation to facilitate entry requirements (visas and the like). We will also work with their consulates to provide them with travel and lodging assistance. We are happy to support nominees in any way we can, so that they may participate in Award events.
