Mission Statement:

The Networking Committee is devoted to helping promote an atmosphere where professional opportunities and connections for League members, panelists and guests are made.  Our Networking Panel discussions with an audience

Q & A, bring in outstanding theatre professionals from inside and outside of the League, to help foster further knowledge of the varied disciplines and opportunities for women in theatre.  Peer to Peer networking brings League members, non-members/prospective new members and panelists together in a nurturing and fun atmosphere of socializing.  Come and join your peers, expand your networks, and bring a potential new member!

Mission StatementThe Salon Series, a sub-committee of The Networking Committee, provides members with a fun opportunity to share, explore, and discuss individual projects in an informal setting.  League members are encouraged to bring friends and colleagues who are not members to familiarize them with the League’s mission and all of its opportunities and to mingle and socialize. Meet new colleagues and friends and catch up with old. Bring your business cards!

*Short term goals for the year: Three events are scheduled during the course of the year at a pre-arranged venue to promote visibility and increase opportunities for women in the Professional Theatre.

1) Monday, September 26, 2016 – Welcome Younger and Older!

The Networking Salon Series cordially invites you to attend this all­-ages networking affair. Join fellow LPTW members in this wonderful opportunity to mingle with the women who blazed the trail along with the women who are planting new seeds on it. For aspiring LPTW members, volunteers will be on hand to show you how to take advantage of the amazing array of opportunities and benefits available with membership. Cheers to all!

2) Monday, November 14, 2016 – Let’s Give Thanks!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than to join The Networking Salon Series in a special collaboration with NYWIFT! At this event, take the opportunity to give thanks to the inspiring people you’ve met and the people you will meet. Cheers to all!

3) Monday, January 9, 2017 – Looking Forward

As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Come join The Networking Salon Series as we confidently take on the New Year! Share your goals, hopes and dreams for 2016 at this fun and motivating event. We’re looking forward to seeing you.

Long term over all goals:  League members are encouraged to bring friends and colleagues who are non-members to familiarize them with the League’s mission and all of its opportunities.
