Life Line - Submitted by Lisa Dennett
July 21 @ 7:30 pm - July 30 @ 4:30 pm| $25
Two strangers, an affluent, middle-aged divorcee – played by LPTW member Lisa Dennett – and a sardonic, gay Mexican American stylist, volunteer at a West Hollywood suicide hotline without any guidance. In this claustrophobic setting, they are forced to fend for themselves, performing a duty for which neither of them is qualified. They clash–of ideology, class and race/sexuality– but despite their ostensible contrasts, they somehow find an intimacy between them and must tackle an increasingly dire phone calls as well as their own existential crisis. Daniele Echevarria directs. Three performances: July 21 at 7:30, July 28 at 6:00, July 30 at 4:30. Tickets are $25 in advance, $27 at the door.
