Kathleen Chalfant, League of Professional Theatre Women award-recipient and actress extraordinaire, will perform a staged reading of Rose Leiman Goldemberg’s poignant drama LETTERS HOME, based on the correspondence between the poet Sylvia Plath and Plath’s mother. The reading of the play, last performed in New York in 1979, celebrates the Library’s acquisition of Goldemberg’s archive, which includes plays and television scripts, notably Goldemberg’s riveting television drama, “The Burning Bed.” The staged reading, on April 3, is free to the public, but reservations are required (please click on the link to the website below).
