Waldman Emergency Loan Fund Announcement
Long-time member Honey Waldman has graciously donated a significant sum to create the Waldman Emergency Loan Fund. The purpose of this Fund is to assist Full members in good standing who reside in the United States when an emergency occurs for which they do not have funds readily available. The loan is intended for true emergencies such as a plane ticket to see a dying relative or a rent payment that unpaid might result in eviction, and is not to help pay off credit card bills, etc. It is expected that the maximum loan approved will be $500 per request. Loans will be repaid plus an administrative fee of 10% (with a cap of $25) in timely increments or in one total sum. A confidential committee will review requests for loans; requests are not guaranteed, as they will be evaluated on an individual basis. All contact is confidential and all loans are discreet.
As we hope the fund will grow and be available to members for many years to come, we encourage any interested LPTW members to make additional tax-deductible contributions via check or on the LPTW website’s donate page. Please clearly indicate that your donation is earmarked for this Fund.
To apply for a loan, eligible full members should send an email or call co-President Kristin Marting at 888-297-3117, ext. 4 or submit contact form selecting the category “Waldman Emergency Loan Fund”.
We thank Honey Waldman for her generous gift and ongoing support of the LPTW.
